If you are thinking on renting a car…If you have car, you will not need the ATV. Remember, all prices in Mexico do NOT include $18 to $50 a day of additional insurance depending on car rental place. Europcar, and Mex Rent a Car and similar local ones at the airport, are the WORST.
Hertz, and Alamo and National, and ones like that, usually least expensive insurance per day. That is just liability. If you have card with insurance, you still need liability in Mexico unlike most other countries and places where that is included. If you make a reservation, it is worth stopping at a few other booths, and many will beat the price you have reserved and put it in writing, so if you make a reservation that is cancelable, often saves a lot of money, if you want that hassle. When the places at airport ask you how much your rental is for, say 25% less than it actually is. and ask them to beat the price.
